Title is created using Richela Kids and Quicksand font.



All the chapter numbers and names are written
in colour and bold to appeal to young readers.
Baloo 2 and Berkshire Swash fonts are used.

The body text is ‘Avenir Book’ as this san serif
font is well suited for reading.




A part of the book (chapter 9-11) takes place in
the ‘twilight strip’ that in context is considered a 
dark space, hence the page colours are inverted.




The cover shows Hoopoe and Iff, two prominent charcters from the book.

Hoopoe is described as:
  • tiny bid with a crest
  • telepathic
  • machine

Iff is described as:
  • small, ancient looking man
  • purple turban
  • full set of whiskers
  • palest blue beard
  • gold waistcoat
